It was the schools summer fete and the weather was wet Granny made cheese for a stall She milked her auld goat used the recipe wrote in the hand of Mrs McCall The cheese she'd donate for her Grandaughter Kate To help the school build a new hall She wrapped it up nice and packed it in ice She felt like the bell of the ball My Granny's great, you'd never know she was eighty five My Granny's great, she's so busy and so full of life The weather turned fine they had a nice time The cheese sold like e's in the park So sad to say at the end of the day The tale turns so very dark The whole Toon was shocked and the residents rocked When neighbours were sickly and died It was the talk of the Toon brought the Journalists roon The question that they asked was why? Next the Police, then came the FSA We know the Police, but who is this FSA? Meantime the goat ate grass it never was asked To make cheese for the new school hall It just donnered aboot snipping grass at the root Not a care in it's world at all Then came the men from the FSA wiping teats and milking away Not like Granny in her pinnie but with white coats In a very studious way My Granny's great, I've been a lucky goat all my life My Granny's great, so busy and so full of life The headlines read that poor folks were dead And others were seriously ill It was a cheese that they ate sold at a school fete Made by a goat named Bill Poor Granny's aged, you'd swear she was a hundred and five Poor Bill was caged, she'll be lucky if she makes it alive In a matter of time the headlines declined And the story began to subside Granny killed the goat with a knife at it's throat Now everything's alright You can't have a goat That makes cheese that takes peoples lives The death of the goat Made everything alright

jealousy's an angry liar Out from a room At the back of the bar He stumbled Broken and bruised Blood spewed From his lips As he mumbled That he loved her so And if any man Thought they'd Do better Then go tell the guy In the backroom And tell him I sent you When you love someone like fire The heat of your desire Can play games inside your mind Jealousy's an angry liar She hit him a slap And cursed the day That she met him Called him every name Exept the one He was given Pulled off a ring And tossed it outside To the heavens She cried! I just can't Take no more Of this obsession My eyes fix on the floor Avoiding attention I stare straight at a wall Or at my reflection I'm supposed to be in love Not a possesion When you're loved By someone like fire There's no room for your desire This love your wings doth bind Jealousy's an angry liar When you love someone like fire The heat of your desire Can play games inside your mind Jealousy's an angry liar An angry liar, angry liar, angry liar.

your truth's so cruel When you leave Mary don't you look back When you leave Mary, no don't look back No time for leavin Then comin right back When you leave Mary don't you look back All that I say Won't make you stay Nothing I do Is good enough for you My black's your blue My truth untrue Your truth's so cruel So when you leave Mary, don't you look back Go on youself And don't you come home There is no worth In one love alone Your heart has flown So long ago You say you've grown? Mary I don't know When you leave Mary don't you look back When you leave Mary, no don't look back No time for leavin Then comin right back When you leave Mary don't you look back All that I say Won't make you stay Nothing I do Is good enough for you My black's your blue My truth untrue Your truth's so cruel So when you leave Mary don't you look back

so many things There's so many things I should have told you So many times I should have said So many rings I bought for you But I never did I bought them In my head You were the one Who told me It was forever And I believed Every word you said There's one thing That I did say You might remember If you cheated on me I'd "shoot the fucker dead" Now I'm standing here And he's lyin there before me I shot him where it can't be sung or read And I'm sorry darlin But this will hurt forever "But I love her" Was the last thing That he said "But I love her" Was the last thing That he said.

squinty bridge Saw you walkin On your own Along the river Clyde People talk And it is known That she's Not by your side Lonely figure Like a ghost Your loss It fills the air Oh! the joy A feeling most Of our people share But for me It's a feeling That no other Can compare She's not walking By your side Not here Or anywhere Here Or anywhere Loved her once And I love her still In an instant She was gone Married to another To whom a child Was born She wasn't mine I didn't mind I'd have loved her As my own But her Father's will Did surely kill The bird Fore it had flown To the side I stepped With deep regret When out My heart was thrown You my best friend With my love Me there On my own Me there On my own Looking at you From the Squinty Bridge Oh! what a view From the Squinty Bridge In these streets That we have played Since we were Only four We were friends forever And wanted nothing more Fought a thousand battles Even won a war Killed a million baddies If I'd only known the score If I'd only known the score That you my friend Were the baddest one The baddest Of them all That you Would crush The rose I held You could not Kill me more To see her Have to walk with you And push the child She bore Drank myself to death And back again And still I wanted more Still I wanted more Looking at you From the Squinty Bridge Looking at you From the Squinty Bridge She's standing With me On the Squinty Bridge We're looking at you From the Squinty Bridge

what's this love? I loved you When you were fat Now I love you And you're slim You know that I will love you When you're Fat again You know that I will love you When you're Fat again She loved me When I was young Now she loves me And I am old And I know that She will love me When I'm Dead and cold And I know that She will love me When I'm Dead and cold What's this love That appears In every verse Written on cards At birth Spelled out In flowers On a hearse I loved you When you were fat Now I love you And you're slim You know that I will love you When you're Fat again She loved me When I was young Now she loves me And I am old And I know that She will love me When I'm Dead and cold What's this love That appears In every verse Written on cards At birth Spelled out In flowers On a hearse Me I'm not A young man And she Will soon Be fat Yet love It is That binds us Simple as that.

havin a laugh Twas a bright sunny morn From the first crack of dawn And the grass it was greener than green Up gets yer man With a fag in his hand That he lit fore he finished his sleep He stumbled around For the whisky he found Well, he stole as he was leavin the scene There on the floor All blood and gore Lay a woman dead at his feet Fuck me! said the man Do I need a plan I must have killed the wummin in ma sleep A gun at her side And her eyes open wide Such a terrible sight to see There's blood on the doors The walls and the floor And a big big hole in her head Says the gun at her side It sure looks like mine Or that lighter she pulled out on me She was havin a laugh With a gun at ma arse That lit cigarettes, so funny They both looked the same Maybe I'm no to blame So he sat down and called the police In a matter of time Everything was fine Much to the poor guys relief When forensics told The seargent there That she shot herself in the head It seems that she had lit a fag In the radically mistaken belief That a flame would come out the other side But a bullet ripped through her teeth It was a bright sunny morn From the first crack of dawn And the grass it was greener than green Tae bed said the man With a fag in his hand That he smoked while he lay there asleep
